NICOLAS MINDER, BORN 1997, IN BERNE, CH
After completing his apprenticeship as a chef, Nicolas Minder switched to the film industry. He completed an intensive internship at Montezuma Film in Zurich before working for the company as a cameraman, editor and colorist.
In 2021, he founded the company Nicolas Minder Filmproduktion and has since been working freelance on a wide range of projects as a colorist.
Since 2024, he has also been a course instructor at Nikon School Switzerland in collaboration with Schweizer AG, passing on his knowledge of color grading.
He learned his knowledge of color processing and color science by attending various multi-day courses given by internationally renowned colorists such as Walter Volpatto, Cullen Kelly, Dado Valentic and Hector Berrebi. He is also constantly educating himself and is in contact with other colorists around the world.
In addition to his work as a colorist, he worked as a camera assistant and therefore has a comprehensive understanding of the entire image pipeline - from the moment the light hits the sensor to the finished product.
He also has knowledge in the field of virtual reality and runs a mobile VR cinema together with Sandro Zollinger.
